Learn How You Can Support The 2023 Run Born Event!

A PRO-LIFE MISSION

to support both women and unborn babies

Hi, I’m Steve!

The theme for 2023 is “Run the good race!” That is what I will be attempting to do this year in more ways than one. Just like past years I will be running to support women and children in crisis and the unborn, which is a “good race” to run. But this year instead of planning my own event I will actually be running a race in Kansas City called Last Runner Standing, August 11-13.

Yes, the race lasts until only one runner is left. There will be better athletes participating than me and I do not expect to be the last runner standing, but I do expect to give it 100% of my ability. My goal is to last at least 25 hours and 100 miles.

My motivation to continue pushing forward will be the women and children my effort will support through your donations to Runborn, and also this quote from a Fr. Wahlmeier homily that was timely to inspire me to attempt this race in this challenging year I have had with health and injury issues: “Find the one God created you to be.”

More info is on the about 2023 tab.

St. Gianna Program

is an apostolate of Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska to assist women and their families fleeing domestic violence or who are being coerced into having an abortion. Each family is provided a safe and secure environment to deal with the trauma caused by the abuse, become self-sufficient and learn to develop healthy relationships in the future.

In addition to housing, the St. Gianna Program provides education, employment, and counseling services for families left homeless because of domestic violence.

Women's Care Center of Lincoln

Women’s Care Center was founded in 1984, and has grown to become the largest, most successful pregnancy resource center in America. The Lincoln facility opened in late 2020. Our mission is to help pregnant women from our communities choose life for their babies, have healthier pregnancies, become better parents, and take first steps to self-sufficiency.

The Women’s Care Center is located across from Planned Parenthood of the Heartland in Lincoln.  Funds raised this year will help support operating expenses.
